Please send your favorite lake photos to the commodore
Recently, Chris Marston sent us an email that included the following information along with the pictures that you see below. Chris and Patty, thank you for sharing these historic photos with us, they are so much fun. We always appreciate the opportunity to display old photos that show past years of enjoyment on our favorite lake!
"Dave, For reasons I've already forgotten, I wandered over to the CYC webpage a couple of days ago, got distracted looking at the old black-and-white photos of old boats on the lake, and Island Park, and the line at the bottom, "where are yours?" Well, thunk I, I DO have some shots, tucked away somewhere in this computer, so went to look at them, and will attach a few of them for your viewing pleasure
They are, I'm guessing, a collection of boats that the Marstons had, all from around 1920. The gent standing up in the rowboat, looking a lot like my grandfather, was taken in 1926. (And the irrelevant one of the Augusta Country Club, that you might like since you're a golfer, came from 1942.)"
Thanks again, Chris! So, readers..... "Where are yours?"
