This "Boat-in/Drive-in" party on the first Saturday in September was another CYC/Cobbossee Lake Association success. We estimate that there were more than 80 members and guests in attendance on a beautiful Cobbossee Lake evening. Special guests for this special event were Tami Whitmore and Toni Pied representing the Friends of the Cobbossee Watershed who shared with us a new, really well done, promotional video that dramatically underscores the reasons for shared concerns over recent discoveries in our lake of Eurasian Milfoil and European Frogbit, and the desperate need for us to see the eradication of both. As well, the possible excursion of Variable Leaf Milfoil from Annabessacoo to Cobbossee via Jug Stream must be stopped. Following the video, Toni's slide presentation was more than informative and clearly illustrated the need for us all to be a part of the present and coming battle against the "invasives." This is serious business. The assistance of all those who love our beautiful lake must be achieved. We at "Your Lake Association" thank Toni and Tami for joining us at this special event, and for their dedication to the complex task at hand, and for just "Hanging" with us for the evening to answer so many of your questions. Let's face it, we sure are glad to have them! We sure are glad that the Cobbossee Watershed has them! And we certainly need them now more than ever!
So folks, as our 2018 summer season draws to a close, we salute all who attended this special event hosted by our long-time members and supporters of this lake association/CYC. Thank you Chris and Patty Marston!
