CONCERT IN HORSESHOE COVE
July 27, 2013
What a delightful day! The weather was the best we have had for a concert in quite some time, the band was fantastically fabulous, and the large crowd was respectful of the need to be safe while having a good time on beautiful Lake Cobbosseecontee. No irresponsible behavior was observed, and our clean-up crew noted that most everyone did a fine job at keeping their trash on board. And for that, we thank all! As well, we thank Nancy at Clark Marine for keeping their Facebook followers aware of the boating requirements specified under Maine law, and for helping all to understand that irresponsible behavior is a definite threat to future concerts. She wrote. Folks read.
And, the CYC would again like to thank the entire crew at CLARK MARINE for all of their help and for their continued support of our organization. We just could not do this without them! They care! We appreciate! As you know, because they sponsor this concert, the money that we collect from the "Fishnet collection" goes directly to the CYC Lake Preservation Fund and again this year, you contributed over $1,000! Thanks to you all!
BY THE WAY, IF THE NET MISSED YOU TODAY, PLEASE FEEL FREE TO SEND YOUR DONATION TO CYC, PO BOX 17, MANCHESTER, ME 04351! HELP US HELP THE LAKE!
Now that you have had a great Saturday afternoon at a CYC event, how about coming to an evening "Boat-in/Drive in?" Next week is an off week, but you can enjoy a Sunday at the races as the CYC/CSF Annual Lighthouse Regatta takes place August 4 in the north bay. Our 5-7pm parties resume on August 10 at the cottage of Dayna Larson on the west shore. Go to our Events page for more information about all of our remaining events!
Enjoy the photos! Remember to click on the smaller ones for a bit more detail.
