What are Lionel and Dick discussing? The fact that Dick and Betsy will miss the Labbe's boat-in next week because they are leaving for Florida? Wow! It was sure cold this day. But, that cold???
Here's our hosts, and Robin is slicing the ham.
How's this for starters?
The meatballs were none to shabby either! And this was just one of two meatball dishes!
Bob talking with newcomers Greg and Linda from Hammond's Grove. Welcome aboard folks!
Good food, good friends, good conversation. Ain't that what life's all about?
So, do you know the story about John Conroy who established Yornoc Lodge so many decades ago? This Salvatore cottage was part of that sportmens' lodge. Look carefully at the sign. What does Mr. Conroy's name spell.......backwards? So there, he said with a smile!
Yup! You did it. It's Conroy!!! Was he clever or what?
You have heard of President Jackson's, "Kitchen Cabinet?" This is apparently the Salvatore's, "Bedroom Cabinet!" What do you suppose they are discussing? Politics? Fishing?
Ah ha! John, are you telling these fine folk more fish tales?
Now, all of you fine CYC folk out there in web-land, are you sure that this was the party to miss? What a special evening it was. What a feast was served! And check out that slice of cake!!! Be aware though, ye future hosts, that this is not the requisite standard for a CYC party. This is the "gold medal" of CYC parties and it is done because Robin and Angela have done it before, and absolutely just love to do it. And we just love them for it! But please, don't try to compete, because as you know if you have been to any of our gatherings, it is just not necessary. We usually suggest soft drinks, mixers and snacks. Our parties are a great opportunity to get together on a Saturday evening to enjoy great company. So, why not join us at our next one?
And in the words of Rachel Ray, "Yum...O!"
And, Angela and Robin, you guys are just awesome! Thanks for a wonderful, "Gold medal" evening!
