WOW!!! The Commodore and Mrs. Commodore, with three of the grandkids, went to the lighthouse to put up a new flag. When the door was opened, here is what we saw. Tacked to the stairs was this envelope from an anonymous well-wisher with Christmas cards, one for the Commodore and one for the Keeper of the light, Hugh Stephens.
Thank you to whomever was involved; your gesture is truly appreciated! The great photos below were proudly displayed on the card.
Here it is! We opened the door to the lighthouse and, guess what? Santa's sock attached to the stairs!
What a card cover! And such a flattering picture of the Commodore as Hugh speaks!
Here is what she used to look like, folks!
And, my oh my, look at her now with our American flag proudly flying in the beeeze! What a sight to behold!
Thank you, Santa!
The following photos were also taken on that special trip out to Ladies Delight Island.
The Commodore gets ready to put the flag in place.
And, once again, CYC is off to another busy season on beautiful Lake Cobbosseecontee!
Thank you, Santa!!!
