Better than fair winds for fine sailing. Just a great racing day all around. All around the Ladies Delight Island Lighthouse that is. If you just happened to be in the neighborhood of Lake Cobbosseecontee's North Bay on this particular Saturday in August, you were able to see some fine Laser racing. As the photographs illustrate, the winds were up, the boats were fast, and from comments back at the clubhouse after it was all over, the sailors most definitely had a great time! Spills, no chills (the water was too warm), and a great spirit of competition! And when the final horn blew and the racing was done, the sailors returned to the clubhouse, packed up their gear, put away sails and then were treated to a good ole Maine lobster feed by the Cobbosseecontee Yacht Club.
